About
Jade Strong (b. 1997, Clinton, MD) was raised in Stone Mountain, GA. She earned her B.F.A. in Photography from Pratt Institute in New York in May 2022.
From an early age, Jade had a deep passion for photography, always drawn to the power of visual storytelling. She explored various artistic mediums before fully committing to photography, carrying her first DSLR everywhere and capturing the world around her. In high school, she played a key role in developing the yearbook, earning opportunities to document school events—from theater productions to sports—cementing her love for the craft.
Her professional journey began in 2015 as a freelance wedding photographer for her father’s Washington D.C.-based business, Jbad, where she was often the sole photographer on set. This experience sharpened her skills in composition, editing, and visual storytelling. Initially studying Computer Science in college, Jade later pivoted to photography, attending Pratt Institute to refine her artistic voice and technical expertise.
At Pratt, she discovered that her work exists at the intersection of art and activism. Through her personal projects, she amplifies the voices and creative visions of communities of color, using photography as a medium for storytelling, representation, and impact.
Today, Jade is a full-time photo editor for Abercrombie & Fitch, a freelance photo editor for Billy Farrell Agency, and co-owner of Sage Studio, a creative business she operates alongside her husband, Marquise Strong. She specializes in portraiture, fine art, event, and product photography, with a passion for film and alternative processes like cyanotype.
Jade’s work has been featured in various professional and editorial projects, including her photo production work for Fodor’s Travel. She continues to evolve as an artist and editor, always seeking new challenges and opportunities to push creative boundaries.

Co-Owner of Sage Studio
Marquise Strong (b. January 10, 1997, NE Washington, D.C.) is a photographer and videographer with a passion for capturing authentic moments. His love for photography began at the age of six, but it wasn’t until high school—where he took a photography course—that his passion truly took shape.
In 2021, Marquise officially launched his photography career, focusing on portrait, product, and event photography under his brand Gud Photography, which he co-founded with his late best friend, Matthew Coleman. Through Gud Photography, he built a reputation for his ability to tell stories through striking imagery and dynamic compositions.
Beyond photography, Marquise is also an experienced videographer, bringing movement and emotion to his visual work. His creative pursuits extend into poetry, fashion, and music, all of which influence his artistic approach behind the lens.
Now, as co-owner of Sage Studio, Marquise continues to push creative boundaries alongside his wife, Jade Strong, capturing moments that are both intentional and timeless.
